Some web pages in the InfoSavvy web site have different privacy policy
statements. This page includes the General, Public and Member statements.
Policy:
We fully respect the privacy
of any person, corporation, entity, or alien from another planet that should
enter into any communication with Information Savvy. To these ends we do not
make any of our internal records available to any living being or machine
intelligence. We strive to safeguard your privacy. You must be aware that we
are using technology based on the World Wide Web – rife with security holes and
subject to information piracy. If we are boarded, we may lose records and in
that sense your privacy will be breeched. You must be aware of this when
dealing with us or any other site in this – the bold WWW experiment.
By the same token, we
believe that anything you say should be open, above board, and capable of
standing in the light of day. We take the tact that anything we do on the Web
might just as well be published in the paper for all to see.
Decide where you can be comfortable within these extremes and interact
with us as you see fit.
Policy:
We make no effort to identify public users of our site. No identifying data is
disclosed to any third party for any purpose. Data that we collect is used only
for server administration and our information age research.
We consider a non-member to be any being or machine intelligence that
visits the site and request information from us. We log visits to this site to
help fend off information pirates. Since electronic records are subject to
court subpoenas we strive to read and delete any mail sent to employees of
Information Savvy. We consider these communiqués to be between visiting
entities and our personnel to be their own maters. Email interactions are
guided by general net-etiquette conventions.
Policy:
Members are those beings or machine intelligences that have joined our
experiment in bringing information to the masses. Qualified members receive the
ability to use our encryption protocols to supply information to InfoSavvy’s
News Engine for dissemination to the rest of the world. This by its very nature
is about as non-private as it gets.
Members are also
subscribers, who in accessing information contained on this site may be risking
life and limb. There are governments who do not share the concept that beings
have rights to accurate information no matter the cost or sensitivity. We are
developing ways to allow our members and non-members to access information.
Sadly we cannot guarantee any privacy in these matters due to the nature of
Internet technology.
Privacy for members boils down to our commitment to keep all of our
records to ourselves and not to share any personal information according to our
general privacy policy stated above.
